The ITA II will expand the number of products covered by original ITA, which the WTO [World Trade Organization] adopted in the trade body's first ministerial meeting in December 1996 in Singapore. The ITA sought to eliminate tariffs on over US$600 billion of traded IT products by the year 2000.
